Angel Fire is launching something special this year: Bluews Fest, a weekend celebration of live blues music, local craft beer, and mountain culture. This new festival takes place at the brand-new Mountain View Event Center, with breathtaking views, open space, and a lineup designed to entertain music lovers of all ages.
What to Know Before You Go
Whether you’re coming for the music, the food, or the community, here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your Bluews Fest experience.
Admission & Seating
- Free to attend! No tickets needed—just show up and enjoy.
- Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to get comfy on the grass.
- You may bring non-alcoholic drinks and snacks, but please no large coolers.
- A large shade tent will be set up, and you’re welcome to bring your own small shade structures or umbrellas—just keep them low-profile and use weights, not stakes.
- Please avoid bringing large tents during high-attendance events like Bluews Fest and the 4th of July.
- Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome – Please bring your own poop bags, and plan to walk your dog outside the Event Center area as needed.

Friday, July 11
5:00–6:30 PM – Silver Sky Blues Band
A high-energy mix of blues, rockabilly, and soul—perfect for dancing or relaxing in the mountain breeze.
7:00–8:30 PM – Chris Dracup: Funk of the West
A dynamic six-piece featuring blues, funk, and African rhythms. Local talent with a contagious groove.
Saturday, July 12
3:00–4:30 PM – Stanlie Kee and Step In
Youthful traditional blues infused with Native American spirit—a lively and soulful set.
5:00–6:30 PM – Eden Brent
Award-winning blues pianist and powerful vocalist known for her juke-joint-influenced performances.
7:00–8:30 PM – The Fabulous Thunderbirds
Legendary blues-rock outfit, best known for “Tuff Enuff,” bringing decades of electrifying live performance.

Featured New Mexico Craft Breweries:
- Nuckolls Brewing Co. (Santa Fe) – A rotating selection of craft beers from their 40-tap brewery in the Santa Fe Railyard, including seasonal favorites and local brews.
- Comanche Creek Brewing Co. (Eagle Nest) – Mountain-made German-style beers like their beloved Homestead Amber Ale and seasonal specialties.
- Blü Dragonfly Brewing Co. (Cimarron) – Known for bold flavors like their Amber Hatch Chili Ale and malty Oktoberfest Festbier.
- Downshift Brewery (Ruidoso)– Easy-drinking, high-quality craft beer brewed for music lovers and mountain vibes.

Parking & Arrival Tips
- Venue address: 380 Fuego St, Angel Fire, NM
- Please access the Mountain View Event Center from North Angel Fire Road, near the fire station.
- Ample parking is available onsite.
- Additional parking can be found at the Angel Fire Resort Black Lot, Green Lot, Blue Lot, and Frontier Park Lot.
- For your safety, please use designated crosswalks when walking to the event center.
ADA-accessible parking is located near the main entrance for guests who need it.
Weather & Construction Notes
- Rain delay, not rain cancel! If we get a mountain rain shower, we’ll take a short break and resume the music once it passes. Come prepared with layers or an umbrella just in case.
- Expect delays on Highway 64 near the blinking light due to ongoing construction. Traffic is down to one lane—please allow an extra 5–20 minutes for travel.
