Bring your lawn chairs, grab a blanket, and settle in for a night of music under the stars.
Who Is Revisiting Creedence?
Revisiting Creedence isn’t your typical tribute band.
The group is led by Dan McGuinness and Kurt Griffey, musicians who spent years touring internationally alongside Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members Stu Cook and Doug “Cosmo” Clifford in Creedence Clearwater Revisited.
Their mission is simple: deliver the music of Creedence Clearwater Revival with the authenticity, energy, and musicianship that fans expect.
The band’s members have shared stages with legendary artists including The Eagles, Journey, Santana, Foreigner, Steve Miller Band, Pat Benatar, and Lynyrd Skynyrd, creating a concert experience that appeals to lifelong CCR fans and first-time listeners alike.
As CCR founder and drummer Doug “Cosmo” Clifford puts it:
“After 25 years of performing with Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Stu Cook and I retired, but you can still get that great CCR sound and experience with Kurt Griffey and Dan McGuinness and Revisiting Creedence.”
Why These Songs Still Bring People Together
Part of what makes Creedence Clearwater Revival’s music so timeless is its ability to connect generations.
Parents know every word. Grandparents grew up listening to the originals. Younger audiences recognize the songs from movies, television, and playlists that never seem to go out of rotation.
Expect an evening filled with iconic hits like:
- Proud Mary
- Bad Moon Rising
- Have You Ever Seen the Rain
- Down on the Corner
- Green River
- Up Around the Bend
- Fortunate Son
These are the kinds of songs that turn a concert into a shared experience, where everyone finds themselves singing along before the first chorus is over.
The Village of Angel Fire’s Summer Music Series has become a favorite tradition for locals and visitors alike, but Revisiting Creedence is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated performances of the season.
With nationally touring musicians, a catalog packed with hit songs, and a free admission price tag, this is a show worth planning a trip around.
Arrive early, find your spot on the lawn, and enjoy food trucks, local vendors, cold beverages, and the festive atmosphere that makes summer in Angel Fire so memorable.
