Angel Fire’s most iconic summer event is back, and it’s bigger than ever. The skies above the Moreno Valley will soon be dotted with brilliant, colorful hot air balloons as Balloons Over Angel Fire returns June 14–16, 2025. But this year, we’re keeping the celebration going with the Angel Fire Air Affair—a week filled with family fun, aviation excitement, and live entertainment.

Balloons Over Angel Fire: June 14–16
A beloved high-altitude tradition
Get up early for the magic of mass ascension as pilots from across the country fill the sky with vibrant colors. The launch field opens at 6:45 AM daily, with flying conditions best in the early morning calm. It’s a breathtaking way to start the day—and totally free to attend!
Expect balloon glows, pilot meet-and-greets, and the beauty of crisp mountain mornings as you stroll the field with a hot coffee in hand. It’s one of New Mexico’s most scenic and family-friendly events.
Stay for the Fun: Angel Fire Air Affair: June 14-22
This year, Balloons Over Angel Fire kicks off a brand-new celebration: Angel Fire Air Affair, a weeklong (and more!) lineup of sky-themed fun. We’re talking:
- Kite flying and glider demos
- RC balloon displays
- Hot air balloon evening glows
- Porsche club car show
- Outdoor movies like “Top Gun”
- Live music and food trucks
- Stargazing events
- Fixed-Wing Fly-In at the Angel Fire Airport

Get ready for a night of soulful blues, heartfelt rock, and psychedelic guitar jams with Santa Fe’s own Myrrhine and her band of seasoned musicians. They’ll have you dancing, grooving, and feeling the music—after all, it’s a big suitcase!

Revíva | Reggae / Rock / Latin
This Albuquerque-based band blends reggae, rock, and Latin dance music for a high-energy show that keeps crowds moving. With lyrics in both English and Spanish, Revíva has shared the stage with The Wailers, Ozomatli, and Steel Pulse—and now they’re bringing that same unforgettable energy to Angel Fire.
