DESCRIPTION:Habla Tamale will no longer be a tamale cook-off. We found out late last week\, from the state\, food handling laws have changed as of July 1\, 2021.\nFor a festival or cook-off\, food must be prepared on site\, to be sold for consumption. Tamales cannot be pre-cooked at home and then transported to another location to sell. Nor can they be cooked in a commercial kitchen and transported to another location to sell. To get a permit\, the tamales must be cooked and sold from the same location. Tamales are an item that cannot be cooked on-site in a couple of hours\, therefore the tamale cook-off\, tamale eating contest and judging has been canceled.\nHOWEVER we have pivoted to\nHabla No-Tamale\nMusic and Artisan Fair\nSaturday\, August 31st\, 2024\n2:00pm-6:00pm\n@ Frontier Park in Angel Fire\nthe food carts will be open\nbut… no-tamale cook-off or eating contest.\nPerforming will be\n2:00pm-3:00pm: The Moreno Valley High School Rock Band\n3:00-6:00: Garry Blackchild\nEnjoy music while you shop with various Artisan vendors.\nFamily fun for the Labor Day week-end!\nVendor Call for Arts and Craft vendors.
