SUMMARY:Monte Verde Lake Open for Shore Fishing
DESCRIPTION:Nestled in the heart of Angel Fire\, Angel Fire Resort’s Monte Verde Lake is a picturesque high-mountain lake fed by springs. Come and experience boating\, paddle boarding\, hiking\, fishing\, or simply unwind by the shore. Kindly be aware that swimming is not permitted. \nThe lake is regularly replenished with trout throughout the summer.  Fishing Permits are required and can be obtained at the Boat House. \nFor more information about rentals and fishing permits\, click here. \n  \nSAFETY\, POLICIES\, AND PROCEDURES\n\nNo Alcohol – alcoholic beverages are not permitted at Monte Verde Lake.\nNo Swimming – swimming is not permitted in the lake and there is no lifeguard. The water is extremely cold.\nDogs – must be on a leash when on the shore but they are allowed to swim in the lake and ride on boats without being on a leash.\nNo Wake Lake – boats with motors and devices like jet skis are not allowed. Trolling motors are permitted.\nFires – charcoal grills and campfires are not permitted at Monte Verde Lake.

SUMMARY:Run for the Wall 2024
DESCRIPTION:Run for the Wall is an organized cross-country motorcycle journey spanning the nation\, dedicated to honoring our veterans\, along with their families and friends\, while also raising awareness for those who are still unaccounted for – Prisoners of War (POW) and Missing in Action (MIA). This journey\, often referred to as a “run” by motorcyclists\, commences in Ontario\, California\, and concludes ten days later at the Vietnam Veteran’s Wall in the nation’s capital\, Washington D.C. Following this\, there’s a three-day “run” from D.C. to the Middle East Conflicts Wall in Marseilles\, Illinois\, creating a heartfelt journey from Wall to Wall. \n  \nWhat: Come cheer them on as they roll through Angel Fire. The passing motorcade normally consists of 385 to 500 veteran motorcyclists. \nWhen: Sometime between 4:30 – 5pm. \nWhere: Gather at the “blinking light” on Hwy 64 and Hwy 434. \n  \nPhoto Credit: Run for the Wall\n
